Some Reassuring Ruach HaKodesh for Am Yisrael in Eretz Yisrael
During his forced military service in Turkey during World War I, the daughter of a prominent Muslim army captain set her eyes on the young married Jew. To avoid the issue of forced intermarriage/bigamy or dying al kiddush Hashem, the young Menachem Moshe went AWOL and vowed that if Hashem would save him, he would move himself and his family to Eretz Yisrael.
And that's exactly what happened.
He also said that in times of terrible trouble, it's very powerful to recite 119:153-154. (In other words, the first 2 verses of reish of 119.)
He wrote a book of chiddushim on the weekly parsha called Ahavat Chaim.
At the end of parshat Tzav in Ahavat Chaim, he mentions that at the time of Geula, Am Yisrael will face overwhelming troubles and there will be fire all over the world. (I heard this in a class, so not sure of his original source for this.)
We have been seeing a lot of wildfires and volcanic fires over the past few years.
But Rav Menashe specifically mentions "fires" as "atomic weapons."
Then he recalls how the guardian angel of Am Yisrael, Michael, raised walls of water around Eretz Yisrael during the Mabul, so the Mabul did not flood Eretz Yisrael.
Likewise, a type of "wall" will surround Eretz Yisrael during this time of global fire and the fire will not enter Eretz Yisrael.
With all the yammering about Iran and nuclear weapons, this chiddush should provide us reassurance and renewed bitachon.
The Good News about the Earthquake and Solar Eclipse for Am Yisrael in America
The happy news is that because of the epicenter, the name of the epicenter (Lebanon) and its equidistance to yeshivish communities, it's actually a good sign for Am Yisrael and that Hashem is watching over us.
If you want to hear that shiur in Eretz Yisrael, dial: 0797040068. Then press 3 for answers to questions asked. (Make sure you're in Parshas Tazria.) It's something like the third question, so you'll need to listen for awhile until you get to that particular question.
In the USA, I'm not sure, but it could be it's this number: (732) 719-3898 (and then you choose from the menu), which is the Bitachon Hotline "A Life of Bitachon" in the USA.
If the above numbers don't help, then I don't know how else to help, I'm very sorry!
I'm sure Hashem can smack them down on our enemies, as He has done many times before. Or do something else with them for our safety.
But I'm going to get my home and myself in order as hishtadlus, then settle down for some nice davening and Tehillim.
My Israeli adult children are totally not taking this seriously (as is typical of the Israeli children of Anglos), but I see it as din that needs to be sweetened.
(A list of Tehillim to say for various situations: myrtlerising.weebly.com/blog/the-full-list-of-segulotuses-for-all-of-tehillimpsalms).
Wherever we are, wishing us all tremendous bracha v'hatzlacha!
