So the following prophetic words from Rav Avigdor Miller were spoken during that time (torasavigdor.org/parshah-booklets/beshalach-5781/), where the rav refers to the self-destructive tendencies of liberal assimilated Jews — and also of frum Jews, who mistakenly believe it's okay to vote for politicians holding immoral positions if it temporarily offers some benefit to the frum community:
Don’t think [the Holocaust] can’t happen again.
Who said America is forever?! You have to be afraid!
We’re here, enjoying all luxuries, with plenty to eat.
We have liberty, we have safety, we have equality, everything we have.
But someday I’m afraid we’ll look back on America and say the same thing because we’re not afraid of Hashem; we’re not learning the lesson from Mitzrayim, from Kush and Seva.
***
Oh no! Instead of learning the lesson, the Jews are trying their best to break down America.
Jewish congressmen like Solarz are helping Communist regimes all over; Cuba, Nicaragua. And Jews are voting for Solarz and Koch. Jews are keeping them in power. Of course Koch gives them in return some benefits.
And for that benefit, the askanim, the shtadlanim, sell away our votes – whole kehillos of frum Jews, whole congregations vote for these people who are breaking down everything we have!
Look what’s happening to America! The whole youth is being demoralized!
The public schools are hammering away in the minds of the children, telling them how bad America is, how wicked the establishment is!
Finally the gentiles in the Midwest will get so disgusted and they’ll make a revolution!
They’ll try to fight to save America, but I’m worried it’ll be a little late.
America will already be shorn of its greatness – it’ll be surrounded by Communist
enemies.
Chas v’shalom, it’ll turn into a fascist country and who knows what kind of gas chambers can be here?
They can make better ones in America than the Germans did.
But here, Rav Miller focuses on BEHAVIOR.
And if you read the millennia of Torah scholarship on Jew-hatred, you see it connects to the behavior of Jews, not just a physical location.
Yes, we've seen how physical location matters, but not as much as behavior and character.
Even the part of Am Yisrael which was NOT enslaved by Egypt — their location remained safe because their behavior remained pure.
They insisted on remaining separate from the non-Jewish society around them.
So bringing liberal, non-Jewish behavior and values to Eretz Yisrael DESTROYS Heavenly protection (as we have gruesomely and heart-breakingly been shown).
Wherever we are, we need to behave like a YISRAEL, not an Esav or an Edom or a Sedomite or anyone else.
Right now, Eretz Yisrael is the best place to do that, but we must do it regardless of where we are.
Jew-haters burned Jews in the Holocaust — but NOT because Jews lacked a country of their own or had no place to flee.
After all, Jew-haters burned Jews in Eretz Yisrael too...in our own country with an army teeming with Jews and some of the best surveillance and military technology in the world.
Rav Miller's words apply to us everywhere.
